Japanese manga series “Attack on Titan” recently released the trailer for its first full-length movie as a teaser for what is said to be two films to be released in the summer 2015.
Highly popular Japanese manga series “Attack on Titan” released the trailer for its live-action film adaptation, taking fans by storm and heightening anticipation for two films on the series scheduled for release this summer, with an August 1 Japan premiere.
“Attack on Titan” was launched in 2009, and started gaining worldwide popularity four years later. Written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama, the series is set in an apocalyptic earth where humans have cordoned themselves off in circular walled cities to avoid being eaten by giant humanoids called Titans. The walls have kept the monsters at bay until a 200-foot tall specimen appears and threatens the population, putting the economy and food sources at risk.
The story features three major characters, Eren Yeager, his adopted sister, Mikasa Ackerman, and their friend, Armin Arlert, all of whom try to stay ahead of the people-eating Titans.
The popularity of the manga series spawned other media offerings, like mini novels, video games, an anime series, a movie compilation, and finally, its first live-action film.
The trailer, a Nihongo language version which Western fans have deemed cryptic, shows only a brief glimpse of the Titans, one of whom raises up a human to snack on, before the trailer cuts away. Another scene shows the 200-foot Titan getting ready to smash a wall, while the rest of the teaser is filled with explosions, screaming people, and bloodied humans.
In the live-action movie, Japanese actor, Miura Haruma will star as Yeager and Mizuhara Kiku will be playing Ackerman. The screenplay for the film is credited to Tomohiro Machiyama, with “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods” director Yusuke Watanabe helming the live-action film.
While the Japan premiere has already been announced, no word has yet been released on the official premiere for North America.
100 years ago, titans suddenly appeared on Earth. Soon, human civilization veered on collapse due to the titans. Humans then built a giant wall to defend themselves. Within the giant walls, humans lived in peace, but, 100 years later, the giant wall is broken.

We’re all done with Avengers 2 trailers, but this new extended TV spot (which will air during the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament) has so much awesome new footage, it’s almost as good as a full trailer.
The trailer opens with some great new dialogue from Tony Stark who tells Maria Hill that Captain America is the new boss of The Avengers. Except for the fact that he pays for everything, designs everything and makes everyone look cooler. From there, we’re off to the races with a ton of new footage highlighting each of the Avengers (including Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver) in action. Have you ever wanted to see Captain America flip his shield up to Thor who uses his hammer like a baseball bat to fling the shield right through a robot. You’re in luck! http://marvel.com/avengers
Kashumidyu from Tokyomi.com: This seems like there having a hard time with Ultron so i know for a sure fact Thanos is gonna kick there ass when they collide

Kashumidyu from Tokyomi.com: This is going to be hilarious on level 10 i mean the trailer sold me i gotta see this they pick a great cast they should of had Michael Cera and Jonah Hill in this movie i think that would of brought the funny to extreme 20 but it will be stomach pain from the laughter and getting the actual game developer to be in the movie is amazing like i said a classic arcade gamer’s dream.
If any movie was truly robbed of at least Oscar buzz last year, it’s Oculus. Mike Flanagan‘s haunted mirror horror flick had some of the most interesting editing in a while (by Flanagan himself), intercutting its action between past and present so fluidly that it didn’t seem like there was any cutting, or time-jumping, at all. I believe that this filmmaker is going to continue doing great things with the genre, enough to get someone normally averse to horror excited with each new effort.
The above trailer is for Before I Wake, his next effort (previously and also some places known as Somnia), which stars Kate Bosworth and Thomas Jane as foster parents to a young boy (Jacob Tremblay) whose dreams and, more importantly, nightmares come true. It sounds like Bedtime Stories meets A Nightmare on Elm Street but hopefully a lot better than the former and really just more than something so easily comparatively labeled. I get the impression that it’ll be sort of like Oculus except we’ll be going back and forth through dreams and reality rather than periods of time — again via the editing talents of Flanagan.
It also looks incredibly fantastic with its cartoonish Christmas-light butterflies and haunting hallways full of vines, and it’s great to see that Oculus co-writer Jeff Howard and cinematographer Michael Filmognari are back for this, too. The previous movie was magic, so I want all the same pieces back for this. The movie co-stars Annabeth Gish and opens on May 8th.
Then there’s Insidious: Chapter 3, the new trailer for which, like Before I Wake, also features a lot of bedroom scenes, including a child looking under the bed and being terrorized by something, and an apparition of a deceased loved one (there a son, here a mother). I skipped Insidious: Chapter 2 because I heard it wasn’t very good, so I can’t say I have the same optimism for this prequel that I do for Flanagan’s latest.
Leigh Whannell, who co-wrote the previous installments, makes his directorial debut with Chapter 3, and it stars Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott and, reprising their ghost-hunting roles from the first two, Whannell, Angus Sampson and Lin Shaye. It opens on June 5th.
Kashumidyu from Tokyomi.com: Tell me why every horror movie stars “white people” im not debating race im just saying every crazy scary movie has always been about a white women or a white kid its been one black horror movie by the name of tales from the hood which was a fucking comedy and Asians get crazy ones too but they exclude black people i guess its a horror in real life with the police lmfao but as far as both movies go they both should of chose a different scene to promote now they both look extremely similar and because the exorcist started in a room every horror movie bites from that classic scary scene.
